I've got mail!

My package from amazon arrived today. It contained the soundtrack of Corpse Bride by Danny Elfman and Genesis: The Video Show. They both rock big time.

In other developments, I just upgraded Goggles to FOX 1.5.13. That way I will be prepared when FOX 1.6 is out. Since that is the only update for Goggles in recent months I will be dropping support for FOX 1.4. Shouldn't be a problem for most people since the old version Goggles will still be available and have the same functionality.

So I ordered a poster frame for my oversized Pink Floyd poster. The poster is great but it was hard to find any poster frame for it. Even the do-it-your-self poster frames would not able to fit the poster itself. So my last resort was to spend alotta money on a proffesional poster frame. In addition they're also going to drymount the thing so the poster stays nice and flat. The frame has a dark blue-ish metallic color and it will have a plexiglass front (as opposed to a heavier than hell glass front).

Friday Night Movie Night

Well, I went to the late show friday night (Saturday Morning) and saw Corpse Bride. Great movie I have to say. I was kind of expecting the Nightmare before Christmas , but I'm actually glad it wasn't. They're both great movies but also totally different. Two songs in the movie were kind of hard to actually hear what was being said. I guess I have to listen to it more closely on the soundtrack.

How soon is soon?

Already I've been waiting for 5 days now until Amazon starts shipping the stuff I ordered. For the last couple of day, it says they're shipping soon. So how soon is soon? It might have to do with FREE shipping I got.

Don't panic.... The Corporation....

I saw two movies last night. Both seem to share the same theme of the destruction of planet Earth. First one was the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and was amazingly funny. The opening song with the dolfins I think was the highlight of the movie. Next up was The Corporation, a documentary from 2003. It pointed out that the corporation in general behaves as a dangerously destructive psychopath without conscienc. It was a little long (145 minutes) but well worth it.

Corpse Bride

The reviews for Tim Burton's Corpse Bride are starting to come in (current 79% fresh on So far it looks mostly positive. Assuming Danny Elfman's soundtrack is going to be great, I already preordered it at amazon. What can I say; I'm a fan.

In other news I noticed that Robert Wise died. He directed Star Trek The Motion Picture and even recently produced the director's edition of the movie. The director's edition IMHO is much better that the theatrical release.

Movies I like to see in the coming weeks, besides Corpse Bride, are "Everything is Illuminated" and uhmmmm.... I guess those two. :)

yup... they're going up... the gas prices I mean:

Tuesday: $2.52
Wednesday: $2.72
Thursday: $2.99

I got lucky this morning since the price was still around $2.72. Lucky my car gets around 30 mpg in the city. I feel sorry for those guys with big SUVs and Trucks.... actually I don't... never mind.

It's still way cheaper than in Amsterdam :P
