fxwm 08282004 (now available)

Now available for download (see Downloads on the right). Besides the fix concerning the drawing of the border decoration, also some updates to the stacking order data structures preventing fxwm from randomly crashing when raising/lowering windows.

DEV-TALK: Eureka!

I finally found the small drawing bug that has been bothering me since I started writing the FOX Window Manager. I first thought it was a repaint event bug, but events are getting through. I finally found that I was just painting the wrong stuff. Expect a update soon!

FOX Window Manager

Yes its final here. Don't expect a fully functional window manager. Expect a lot of bugs and features missing. Nevertheless, if you're interested in trying it out, here's your chance. I'm always open to suggestions, bugreports, patches etc.

DEV-TALK: Goggles

Unexpected development by the ogle development team forced me to work on Goggles, my ogle gui frontend pet project. So no much development on the fox-desktop, though I updated the fox-desktop package to work with the FXSplashWindow from FOX 1.3.

DEV-TALK: Build script etc...

The last couple of nights I've been working on the fxdesktop package. Right now it includes three programs; the desktop itself, a process viewer and a system v resource viewer. Most work has been done in the build and installation script. I also upgraded to FOX 1.3.7 enabling me to create a shaped splash screen window when loading the desktop. Currently I have to set a timer since everything loads very fast ;)

No downloads yet... sorry :P

A new home....

Ok.. there's not much here yet, but hopefully pretty soon I can release a very early alpha version of the FOX Window Manager and the desktop package. Note that both packages may be renamed in the future, but will always be available under one name as the FOX Desktop distribution.
